Serving with Purpose: The Ministries of City of Light Church
At City of Light Church, ministry is more than just a program—it is a way of life. We believe that every person has a place in the body of Christ and a purpose to fulfill. Our ministries are designed to help people grow spiritually, experience healing, and build strong relationships with God and others.
1. Healing and Deliverance Ministry
This ministry stands at the heart of what we do. Every week, people from different backgrounds come to our healing services with heavy burdens. They leave with testimonies of healing and transformation. We believe that Jesus still heals today, and our team prays boldly for breakthrough, deliverance, and restoration in every area of life.
Our pastors and prayer warriors are trained to minister with love, compassion, and biblical truth. Whether someone is facing sickness, emotional trauma, or spiritual oppression, we invite them to come and experience the power of Jesus to set them free.
2. Youth Ministry
We are passionate about raising a generation that loves God and lives for Him. Our youth ministry helps young people grow in faith, build godly friendships, and discover their God-given gifts.
Through Bible studies, fun events, mentorship, and worship nights, we teach them to stand strong in a world full of challenges. We also encourage leadership, creativity, and service among our young members, helping them make an impact in their schools and communities.
3. Women of Refuge Ministry
This ministry brings women together to grow in faith, support one another, and live out their calling as daughters of God. We offer regular fellowships, Bible studies, and prayer sessions where women are encouraged, empowered, and equipped.
Many of our women also serve in leadership roles within the church and lead outreach programs to care for other women in need, both in the church and in the wider community.
4. Evangelism and Outreach
Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. At Jesus Christ Is My Refuge Church, we take that command seriously. Our evangelism team regularly goes out into neighborhoods, parks, and streets to share the love of Jesus.
We hand out Bibles, pray for people, and invite them to church. We also host community outreach events where we share food, clothing, and hope with the less fortunate. Every soul matters to God, and it matters to us too.
5. Praise and Worship Team
Worship is central to everything we do. Our praise and worship team leads the church into the presence of God every service. Through powerful songs and anointed music, we create an atmosphere where hearts open and lives are changed.
The team also mentors upcoming musicians, singers, and worship leaders, ensuring that every generation is involved in glorifying God through music.
